# FAQs

#### How do I earn with GPUnity?

By connecting your GPU to GPUnity, you share unused compute power with the network. In return, you earn points that reflect your contribution. These points are later converted into real rewards distributed to your wallet.

***

#### What currency will rewards be paid in?

Currently, rewards are distributed in **USDC** (a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar). This ensures payouts are stable and predictable, unaffected by crypto volatility.

***

#### How are rewards distributed right now?

Since the **automated smart contract reward system** is still in development, payouts are currently **manually dispersed** by the GPUnity team. You’ll see your points and balances update in real time on the dashboard, and then the team processes the USDC payouts on a scheduled basis.

***

#### When will automated payouts be live?

Automated, on-chain distribution is already in progress and will be rolled out in **Phase 2** of the roadmap. Until then, you can rest assured that manual payouts are being handled securely and consistently.

***

#### How often will I be paid?

Right now, rewards are paid out **weekly** during the manual distribution process. Once automation is live, payouts will be much faster, happening directly through smart contracts.

***

#### Is there a minimum amount I need to earn before payout?

Yes — for manual payouts, there may be a small **minimum threshold** (to avoid high transaction costs). Once you cross this threshold, your rewards will be sent to your connected wallet.

***

#### Do I need to install anything?

No downloads or complex setups. GPUnity works **directly through your browser** — just connect your wallet and start sharing GPU power.

***

#### Will my GPU always be in use?

No. GPUnity intelligently uses **idle power** so you can still use your machine normally while contributing to the network.
